My
My work has recently changed from abstraction to a more realistic form of painting that is centered on portraiture. In particular the subjects I have been painting have been women, not by plan but by accident. I have gravitated for whatever reason towards painting women. The focus of my work is to paint their emotions, sometimes using tongue in cheek humour to display their thoughts and feelings. While my previous paintings were about line, texture and symbolism, recent work is more about what lies beneath the surface of the face. I hope to develop this further and travel to the inner working of the human mind.
